Silicon Waha Company for the management and operation of new technology zones achieved a record performance last year, with occupancy rates across all technology parks rising to 82% and hosting more than 31 clients.
According to data obtained by the Ta3heed newsletter, these partnerships contributed to the creation of over 7,000 job opportunities. In addition, the company has prepared a plan to organize events in the technology parks —through conferences, exhibitions, and seminars—with the aim of promoting these parks to attract investment opportunities.
In light of this, a conference under the name “Waha Connect” was organized, which will continue on a quarterly basis across all technology parks.
During the past year, the new technology parks received 5 strategic visits, including one by the Minister of Communications, Dr. Amr Talaat, to the technology parks in the city of Asyut; two by the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, accompanied by Dr. Amr Talaat, to the new technology parks in New Borg El Arab and New Beni Suef; as well as one visit from a delegation of the Free Trade Zone Authority at Umm Al Quwain (UAQ FTZA) and one visit from representatives of Evergro.
Additionally, 3 days of employment events were organized, along with 4 community days and 2 sports days.
Among the most notable events were the employment days for outsourcing companies and an employment day held in cooperation with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), aimed at opening up job opportunities in the technology zones, which resulted in the creation of 1,100 job opportunities.
