AI: Boosting Human Competitiveness in the Outsourcing Industry

Amidst escalating debate about the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the job market, experts in the outsourcing industry view this technology not as a threat, but as a unique opportunity to enhance employment and boost professional efficiency.

While some promote the idea of replacing humans with machines, executives assert that AI supports the creation of specialized jobs, especially in vital, rapidly growing sectors like telecommunications, FinTech, and software development.

Aboul-Ela: AI Enhances Employment and Creates New Opportunities

Eng. Wael Aboul-Ela, Chairman of Go Chat Outsourcing Services, stated that AI doesn’t pose a threat to the job market as some believe.

Instead, it presents a promising opportunity to boost employment and create new professional fields, particularly in critical sectors such as FinTech, telecommunications, e-commerce, and banking.

Aboul-Ela explained that AI solutions and applications will contribute to increasing employment rates, noting that this technology opens the door for specialized jobs requiring advanced skills.

This necessitates expanding investment in human capital capable of keeping pace with this development.

He added, “A qualified employee in the field of AI is equivalent in efficiency and productivity to about 10 traditional employees, which reflects the positive impact of these technologies on the work environment.”

He stressed the importance of preparing specialized training and qualification programs to maximize the benefits of these opportunities and direct them towards local economic growth.

Taher: AI Accelerates Some Tasks, But Humans Are Indispensable for Coding

Eng. Amr Taher, Director of Luxoft Egypt, a global automotive software systems company, stated that it’s still too early to discuss the potential impacts of AI technology on employment rates within companies. This is because some car manufacturers, for example, are currently unwilling to implement AI tools, as they possess their own proprietary technologies.

He emphasized that it’s difficult to say human power will be entirely replaced by AI.

Taher clarified that AI plays a pivotal role in accelerating the performance of some administrative tasks, such as those related to quality standards in writing automotive software system codes.

However, he noted that AI tools still require review and modifications by human personnel.

He predicted a decline in the number of graphic designers in the coming years with the increasing role of AI in generating highly professional and accurate videos and images

It appears that the general consensus among these experts is that AI will augment, rather than replace, human capabilities in the outsourcing industry.
