Engineer Amr Mahfouz, CEO of “Delta Electronic Systems” and former CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), stated that the increasing geopolitical tensions in several regions worldwide, particularly the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, could present a real opportunity for Egypt to strengthen its position in the outsourcing industry and attract new global companies.
Mahfouz clarified that many international companies are now seeking more stable destinations to relocate their operational service centers, given the unstable situations in areas like Eastern Europe, India, and Pakistan.
He pointed out that Egypt possesses strong attractive factors, including regional stability, the availability of qualified personnel, and developed digital infrastructure, making it an ideal environment for the growth of this sector.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Communications and ITIDA are making noticeable efforts to promote Egypt globally as an attractive outsourcing destination through communication with international markets and organizing trade missions.
However, he stressed the necessity of intensifying these efforts during the current phase and leveraging the current geopolitical circumstances to enhance Egypt’s standing as a reliable regional hub for IT and outsourcing services.
Fahmy: Outsourcing Services are Provided Remotely
For his part, Karim Fahmy, Head of Quattro Outsourcing Services, ruled out any negative repercussions on the Egyptian market due to the conflict between Israel and Iran, especially since services are provided to clients remotely, which may not require employees to be present at different physical locations.
Fahmy stated that Egypt is safe from military attacks.
