Abbas: IBM focus to boost Egypt’s digital exports under 2026 outsourcing strategy

Marwa Abbas, General Manager, IBM Egypt, stated that the company is continuously investing in its strategic centers in Egypt which serve its clients abroad.

IBM’s vision for increasing digital exports from Egypt:

Abbas explained that IBM centers contribute to increasing exports of information and communication technology, in line with supporting Egypt’s national plan. 

She added to Ta3heed that IBM centers work on promoting digital exports to various markets, which reflects the attractiveness of the investment environment in Egypt and our confidence as a global company in the capabilities of promising Egyptian youth.

“Expanding our services to the rest of the world is part of our commitment to contributing to achieving the strategic goals of Egypt’s digital outsourcing industry 2022-2026, doubling digital exports, and creating intensive job opportunities in the field of service exports in parallel with building capacities in the field of high-value services,” she continued.

IBM’s contributions to the Egyptian economy:

“Over the past decades, IBM has made significant contributions to the Egyptian economy by developing the skills and expertise needed for technology-related jobs such as cybersecurity, hybrid cloud and digital design, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, thus providing job opportunities, in addition to helping institutions use the latest innovative technologies to improve their businesses. For example, IBM supports the digitization of citizen services, the generalization of banking services, as well as contributing to the digitization of the healthcare and insurance sectors, and enabling entrepreneurship.”

IBM’s 70th anniversary in Egypt:

It is worth noting that IBM is celebrating its 70th anniversary in the Egyptian market this year.

Throughout those years, the company has been keen to invest in the Egyptian market and support the information and communication technology sector, and all government initiatives for digital transformation, in addition to providing technical solutions to companies and institutions in various sectors to digitize business systems and raise the level of services.
