5G Powers Egypt’s Ambitions to Become a Regional Outsourcing Hub

With the official launch of 5G services in the Egyptian market, attention is turning to the direct impact of this revolutionary technology on the future of various industries, including outsourcing.

Experts in the outsourcing sector emphasize that this new generation of communication not only improves connection quality and speed but also acts as a key driver for developing smart digital solutions and supporting companies’ expansion in delivering high-value services to global clients.

Mahfouz: 5G is a Strategic Opportunity to Support Industry Growth and Expand Services Locally and Globally

Eng. Amr Mahfouz, CEO of “Delta Electronic Systems” and former CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), affirmed that the recent launch of 5G services in the Egyptian market represents a strategic opportunity to support the growth of the outsourcing industry and expand its services both locally and internationally.

Mahfouz clarified that 5G technology, with its high speeds and low latency, enables Egyptian outsourcing companies to develop advanced solutions and software for global firms.

This enhances the competitiveness of local talents in international markets. He also pointed out that this technology opens the door for the emergence of new applications in the Egyptian mobile market, particularly in the fields of digital health, smart transportation, and interactive education.

He added that 5G forms a fundamental pillar for accelerating the adoption of technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing, which provides broad opportunities for outsourcing companies to offer innovative services in data management and smart applications.

Mahfouz stressed the importance of investing in developing digital infrastructure and human capabilities to maximize Egypt’s ability to leverage 5G technologies as a tool to drive digital transformation and increase revenues in the outsourcing sector.

Lotfy: 5G Opens the Door for More Advanced Services and Enhances Companies’ Ability to Recruit Talents

Mohamed Lotfy, Head of Operations Services at Xceed, stated that 5G communication technology opens the door for providing more advanced services by improving connection speed, as this technology offers very high connection speeds.

This allows outsourcing companies to enhance the efficiency of their operations and increase their productivity.

It also supports modern applications such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Virtual (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), which opens new horizons for outsourcing companies.

Lotfy explained that the new technology also contributes to improving customer experience by providing fast and reliable connections.

He noted that 5G networks’ support for high-quality remote work systems will enhance companies’ ability to expand their recruitment of talents in governorates and new areas, aligning with the state’s strategy to support the digital economy and create job opportunities.

He affirmed that the launch of 5G communication services comes as part of the state’s vision to build “Digital Egypt,” which aims to enhance information infrastructure and stimulate investment in innovation and technology fields.

This is especially relevant as the government seeks to transform Egypt into a regional hub for outsourcing and information technology services in the Middle East and Africa.

Lotfy believes that with the advent of the 5G era, a new phase of digital transformation will begin. This transformation will not only serve individual users but also create a fertile environment for the prosperity of technology-related industries, foremost among them the outsourcing industry, which is expected to witness significant growth.
