From Training to Export: How ITIDA Boosts Egypt’s Outsourcing Capabilities

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) plays a pivotal role in strengthening Egypt’s position as a leading regional hub for outsourcing services.

It achieves this through a comprehensive strategy that combines supporting local and international companies, developing human capital, and globally promoting Egypt as a preferred destination for investment in the digital sector.

Fostering a Business Environment

ITIDA focuses on creating a stimulating work environment. The agency holds regular meetings with companies in the sector to identify and promptly resolve challenges.

It also provides facilities for company establishment and expansion, along with diverse operational services that contribute to business growth.

Building Human Capital

As part of the “Digital Egypt” initiative, ITIDA has launched various specialized training programs to qualify and empower young people to work in the fields of information technology and outsourcing services.

It also offers “Training for Employment” programs aimed at aligning skills with market demands, while fostering international partnerships to develop the training system and ensure it meets the latest global standards.

Comprehensive Investor Support

The agency provides a suite of incentives and services for investors, including simplified establishment procedures, ready-to-use workspaces with necessary operational equipment, and ongoing technical and logistical support for both new and existing companies.

Global Promotion and Marketing

ITIDA actively promotes Egypt by participating in major international exhibitions, launching digital marketing campaigns, and building relationships with leading industry experts.

This enhances Egypt’s image as a promising destination for outsourcing services.

Numbers Reflecting Growth

Today, Egypt hosts over 185 local and international companies operating in the outsourcing sector, through 206 specialized centers that provide and export digital services.

Global Competitive Advantages

Egypt attracts international companies due to the availability of over 760,000 university graduates annually, more than 50,000 IT specialists, and 171,000 graduates in accounting and humanities. Furthermore, over 80% of the workforce possesses foreign language skills.

Egypt also boasts a 68% lower cost for outsourcing services compared to countries like India, South Africa, and Poland.

This is complemented by a robust digital infrastructure and the widespread presence of service centers in multiple governorates outside greater Cairo.
