Chinese and European Companies Eyeing Egyptian Outsourcing Market
Chinese and European companies are currently exploring investment opportunities in Egypt’s outsourcing services sector, sources close to the information technology sector have revealed to the “Outsourcing” newsletter.
These companies, operating in diverse fields including e-commerce and software development, are weighing their options: either establishing new customer service centers in Egypt or acquiring existing Egyptian companies with extensive experience and strong track records in the sector.
The sources indicated that these potential new entrants are currently in the data gathering phase for the local market, which will be followed by feasibility studies in preparation for expansion.
According to previous statements by Dr. Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications, Egypt is a global hub for exporting outsourcing services.
This is attributed to the country’s competitive advantages, which have bolstered international companies’ confidence in expanding their investments here.
He highlighted an 180% increase in the number of outsourcing companies in Egypt since 2021, rising from 64 to over 180 companies, which have established more than 200 outsourcing centers.
Furthermore, outsourcing service exports have surged by 80% over the past three years.
