The vision of the French “Atos” for the Egyptian market

Noureddine Behman, CEO of Atos Group, said that Atos is a global company specializing in information technology, operating in about 70 countries and has more than 100,000 employees.

Behman pointed out that Atos International was facing several challenges in providing outsourcing services in some countries when it started, and it believed that Egypt was an ideal solution to these problems because it had a skilled workforce of engineers, and we began our journey in Egypt 3 years ago.

Currently, Atos Egypt has 1,000 employees and aims to reach 3,000 by the end of 2025, which reflects the extent of our interest in the local market.

Focus on outsourcing everything related to cloud services and artificial intelligence

Regarding their strategic plan in the local market, the CEO of Atos Group indicated that his company seeks to focus, in addition to the German and French languages, on outsourcing everything related to cloud services and artificial intelligence.

He said that the company provides sports technology services from the local market. There are 100 engineers providing technical solutions for the Olympic Games held in Paris, the French capital, next June, in addition to providing information technology services for a period of 8 years for all tournaments organized by the European Union. All of this will be done from Egypt.

Outsourcing digital banking services

He continued: The company will also focus, in addition to sports outsourcing services, on outsourcing digital banks, as it is one of the things it is interested in, and that it will be the center for outsourcing services in the Egyptian market.

Eng. Ahmed Al-Harrani, General Manager of the international French company, Atos, captured the conversation, stressing that Egypt is the future of information technology for them, due to its many advantages.

Regarding the company’s priorities in the Egyptian market, he stated that the company’s priority is to grow in the local market steadily and without interruption, indicating that the international company believes in the capabilities of the Egyptian market and supports investment in it.

Increase export volume to $300 million by the end of 2025

He continued: “The volume of Atos Egypt’s exports abroad reached about 73%, and Atos Egypt pledges to expand its foreign operations directed towards exporting services including Digital Workplace, Microsoft services, SAP services, application modernization services, hybrid cloud and infrastructure with more than 3,000 technicians.” .

It also aims to increase the export volume from $100 million to $300 million by the end of 2025.

Pointing out that we can achieve these goals easily due to the different nature of our work. We provide outsourcing services in a different way. We are not call centers in the traditional image. We provide engineers who provide engineering services to clients at great prices that suit the nature of their specializations.

Regarding the opportunities and challenges in Egypt, he pointed out that the size of the achievements that we see in the local market, including establishing and training a large number of cadres and doubling their numbers by about 100% within two years, is among the opportunities that we see and seek to benefit from.

He stated that the market also still needs a large number of cadres, and we have not yet reached the stages of saturation, and this is a good opportunity for the market and companies.

We provide outsourcing services from Egypt to 55 international corporate clients

He pointed out that the state provides full support to encourage the growth of this industry and support its spread, indicating that the company provides outsourcing services from the local market to about 55 clients from international companies in German, French and English-speaking countries.

For example, the International Olympic Committee for the Paris Olympics and the European Union and UEFA Championships outsources its services to Egypt, as well as Siemens.

In a related context, the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company signed a joint agreement to cooperate with Atos Smart Solutions and Sustainable Technology, to establish a company in the New Administrative Capital, through which it will supervise infrastructure and information technology applications, in addition to smart services in the New Capital as the first integrated smart city in the region. .

The agreement was signed between Engineer Khaled Abbas, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company, and Ahmed Al-Harrani, General Manager of ATOS Egypt and Head of the Global Services Center in Africa.

This alliance reflects the commitment of the two companies to improve the environmental management of technology in the New Administrative Capital, and to strive to achieve sustainable urban development. Through this partnership, the Administrative Capital Company becomes able to benefit from the expertise of Athos in the field of managing and operating smart infrastructure, with a focus on Sustainability and reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The fledgling company is expected to play an important role in modernizing the digital infrastructure within the new capital.

The Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company seeks to build a technological and environmentally friendly city that serves the residents of the new capital and its visitors alike, while applying smart solutions to services such as: meters and smart cards, waste recycling, parking, payment methods, and lighting.

The company’s annual global revenues amount to 11 billion euros, while it ranks first in Europe in the field of cybersecurity, cloud computing and high-performance computing.
