Chelsea Shirt Sponsor in Barcelona Match: Vietnam’s “FPT” Signs Agreement with ITIDA to Boost Digital Transformation in Egypt
The Vietnamese company FPT recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) on the sidelines of the Global Outsourcing Summit to enhance digital transformation in Egypt.
Under this agreement, FPT and ITIDA will collaborate to promote the application of digital technology in several fields.
FPT’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, digital transformation solutions, and enterprise IT services are expected to contribute to Egypt’s economic growth and enhance its global competitiveness.
It is worth noting that Vietnam’s FPT was one of the shirt sponsors for the English club Chelsea in their match last week against the Spanish club Barcelona in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League 2025, which ended with the former team winning three clean goals to nil.
ITIDA will support FPT in expanding its business in Egypt through communication with local companies and government bodies, and by enhancing human resource development through collaboration with universities.
The Authority will also provide FPT with access to training programs, software engineering competence centers, sector data, and communications infrastructure support.
Ramah Ghaddar, FPT Middle East Director at FPT, stated that FPT’s focus on AI closely aligns with the ambitious goals of Egypt’s Digital Strategy, which aims to build an inclusive digital society.
He explained: “Through cooperation with ITIDA, a robust digital ecosystem will be developed, boosting job opportunities and sustainable economic growth, thereby contributing to achieving Egypt’s long-term development objectives.”
