From Professor to Global Leader: The Story of Ángel Perez Puletti and the Outsourcing Industry

Ángel Pérez Puletti was born in Argentina and began his career as a university professor of computer science, teaching at prestigious institutions like the University of Buenos Aires, the University of El Salvador, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina.

His academic background solidified his technical vision, which is built on developing human skills and refining digital tools.

In 1991, he transitioned from academia to entrepreneurship by founding his first company, Bauhaus, named after the German design school that combined art and industry with a humanistic perspective.

In 1994, the name was changed to Baufest, a German term that means “solid construction.” Since then, the company has grown from a small local firm into a global enterprise.

Puletti now heads Baufest, which is headquartered in Argentina but has expanded to more than 10 countries, including the United States, Spain, Chile, Peru, and Mexico, with offices in cities like Miami, Madrid, and Santiago.

The global company employs over 1,000 people, executes more than 500 digital projects annually, and has a global business volume of approximately $55 million.

Beyond his business leadership, Puletti is known for his diverse educational background. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Buenos Aires and a master’s degree in political science and sociology from FLACSO.

He has also participated in executive training programs at world-renowned schools like Harvard Business School and IAE Business School Universidad Austral.

Puletti consistently states that Baufest’s mission is to “improve people’s lives through technology.”

He highlights tangible projects, such as an AI model used in Peru’s fishing sector that achieved a 40% increase in operational efficiency by analyzing network and data management in real-time.

He emphasizes that technology is not an end in itself but a means to enhance corporate competitiveness and create a positive social impact.

His management style is defined by a human-centric work culture. Baufest has been consistently ranked among the “Best Places to Work in Argentina” by Great Place to Work due to its environment of inclusivity and professional appreciation.

It achieved second place in the technology company category for 2024, praising his leadership for valuing employee growth and a healthy work-life balance.
