Dr. Mohamed Eissa: Egyptian-European Summit Opens New Horizons for Economic Partnership with Europe

Dr. Mohamed Eissa, a member of the Egyptian Business Community delegation participating in the Egyptian-European Summit held in Brussels, the Belgian capital, under the chairmanship of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and with the participation of European Council President Antonio Costa, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and several leaders of the European Union member states, praised the summit.

Dr. Eissa affirmed that holding the summit at this time carries deep economic and political significance, explaining that the world is witnessing a reshaping of the international investment and trade map amidst geopolitical changes, and countries’ efforts to diversify production sources and strengthen regional supply chains.

He pointed out that these developments present a strategic opportunity for Egypt and the European Union to build an integrated development model based on genuine partnership and attracting joint investments, especially in the fields of technology, energy, industry, logistics services, and of course, outsourcing services in various domains.

Dr. Eissa also valued the historic speech delivered by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during the summit, stressing that it carried a clear vision for strengthening economic cooperation with the European Union and opened new horizons for mutual investments.

He added that the President’s speech embodies a new phase of partnership based on mutual interests and solidifies Egypt’s position as an attractive regional hub for investment, in light of the integrated investment incentives and state support for the private sector.

Eissa commended the statements made by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, in which she emphasized that Egypt is one of the most important strategic partners for the European Union, noting that the time has come to transition to a new phase of joint cooperation.

Dr. Eissa concluded his statement by asserting that the European messages emanating from the summit reflect a growing awareness of Egypt’s pivotal role in the equation of economic and energy security, noting that Egyptian-European relations are evolving towards a comprehensive strategic partnership that enhances stability and development on both shores of the Mediterranean.
