Silicon Waha Launches Inaugural Quarterly Event “Oasis Connect”

Silicon waha Technology Parks, a leading company specializing in the establishment and management of technology parks, has announced the launch of its inaugural quarterly event, “Waha Connect,” under the theme “Shaping the Future of ICT.”

The event will be held this year in the New Assiut Technology Park on December 22, 2024. The event aims to celebrate and unite the ICT community by highlighting local achievements in the sector, including the latest innovations, local success stories, technological collaborations, and regional growth.

As part of its new approach across all its technology parks, Silicon waha is hosting the first edition of the “waha Connect” event in New Assiut. This event aligns with Silicon waha’ vision of driving regional development and its mission to establish dynamic technology systems across Egypt by highlighting success stories and fostering collaboration.

“waha Connect” will empower local talents and highlight the role of technology parks as centers for innovation and growth in the country.

The event also aims to be a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among entrepreneurs, startups, investors, industry professionals, and technology enthusiasts. This year’s edition will showcase the impactful work of technology innovators in Assiut, paving the way for mutual growth and development within the region’s technology landscape.

Moreover, the event will feature a distinguished group of keynote speakers who will share their unique expertise:

  • Dr. Ayman Eyad, Director of the Assiut branch of the Information Technology Institute, who will discuss “Empowering Freelancers and Opening Opportunities for Distinguished Talents in Egypt.”
  • Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Dahi, Director of the Assiut Center for Technological Creativity and Entrepreneurship, and an expert in startup management and innovation, who will present a talk titled “Leading Innovation, Protecting Ideas, and Securing Funding for Startups,” sharing his insights on how startups can secure funding and protect their intellectual property.
  • Ms. Mariam Soliman, a specialist in organizational management and digital marketing, will discuss “Mastering Organizational Growth,” including marketing strategies, customer service, and team leadership.
  • Engineer Andrew Saber, CEO of Petra Software, will address the topic of “Custom Solution Design: The Future of ERP Systems, Financial Technology, and Sales Platforms,” discussing how custom software solutions can drive digital transformation in businesses.
  • Engineer Ahmed Hassan, CEO of “Solhli,” will present a talk titled “From Development to Entrepreneurship,” sharing his journey in managing organizations and entrepreneurship.

Additionally, the event will feature a distinguished guest of honor, Engineer Mohamed Salem, Chairman of the Egyptian Silicon Company, the manufacturer of the first Egyptian mobile phone, to discuss the company’s inception, the launch of its project to produce the first Egyptian phone, and the company’s future plans for manufacturing electronic devices.

In the same context, Hashem Mansi, CEO of Silicon waha, expressed his enthusiasm for the launch of the event, saying, “We are very excited to launch ‘waha Connect’ this year in Assiut, as it marks the beginning of a new era for Silicon waha initiatives across Egypt.
