Indian startup Meesho has announced that it has successfully reduced costs by up to 75% after implementing an AI-powered voice robot to serve its customers.

Voice robot handles 60,000 calls a day

Meesho’s AI bot is already handling around 60,000 daily customer calls in English and Hindi, a significant improvement in customer service efficiency. The company is also planning to add six more Indian languages ​​to better engage with more customers across India.

Reduce costs and improve customer experience

By combining large AI-based language models with custom components focused on understanding local context and language needs, the voice bot was able to reduce the cost per call by 75%.

The company indicated that the robot was able to resolve 95% of inquiries, while only 5% of calls represent cases that require human intervention.

Meesho added that the use of the voice bot resulted in a 10% improvement in customer satisfaction, while the average call handling time was halved, reflecting a significant improvement in work efficiency and customer experience.
