Bright Skies-owned Volt Tech aims to produce 1,000 lithium batteries per month by 2025
Volt Tech aims to produce 1,000 low voltage lithium battery units per month in Egypt by 2025.
Eng. Hesham Arafa, a member of the company’s board of directors, said that the Volt Tech factory was recently opened in Borg El Arab, Alexandria, with self-investments, and relies on the latest technologies and technical knowledge in battery manufacturing.
Arafa explained in statements to the “Taaheed” newsletter that the factory’s first production includes golf car batteries with a local component percentage of up to 70%, and work is underway to develop new products that will be launched during the next phase.
He added that Egyptian engineers are currently designing and manufacturing the batteries.
He pointed out that the factory is currently working on producing small quantities of batteries (low volume product) until the completion of market studies and determining the expected demand volume, adding that Volt Tech plans to expand into manufacturing units intended for corporate and home use.
Volt Tech relies on the technical knowledge and technology provided by Bright Skies in battery manufacturing processes.
Volt Tech also supplies golf car batteries to Matjar, and has approved it as an authorized battery distributor, in a move aimed at boosting local production and meeting global demand.
Volt Tech Battery Manufacturing is a company owned by Bright Skies and others.
