Uzbekistan’s Government Court’s Egyptian Tech Firms with Competitive Advantages, Plans Introductory Meeting in Cairo on December 8

“TA3heed Newsletter” has learned from informed sources in the IT sector that the Uzbekistan IT Park is set to organize an introductory meeting in Cairo between December 8 and 11 to promote partnership opportunities with one of the fastest-growing technology hubs in Central Asia.

The sources stated that the Government of Uzbekistan is actively courting Egyptian IT companies, including those specializing in the Contact Center Services (CCS) industry, with a range of incentives.

Chief among these advantages are tax exemptions and accelerated procedures for establishing a new company in just 5 working days, in addition to providing free office space for a full year.

Further benefits include easy access to over 200,000 qualified technical talents, obtaining an exclusive IT-Visa for conducting information technology activities on Uzbek territory, and the availability of full government support.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan was a major center of Islamic civilization in the Middle Ages, giving birth to prominent scholars like Imam Al-Bukhari and Al-Khwarizmi.

Its economy largely depends on natural resources such as natural gas and oil, in addition to mining and agriculture, particularly cotton.

Uzbekistan shares borders with Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan, and its capital city is Tashkent.
