Outsourcing is moving steadily towards reserving a seat among Egypt’s sources of dollar income
The outsourcing services industry is moving steadily towards reserving a seat for itself among Egypt’s sources of dollar income during the coming period, along with revenues from the tourism sector, the Suez Canal, and remittances from Egyptians working abroad.
The government aims to reach $9 billion in exports from outsourcing services by the end of 2026, rising to $13 billion in 2030.
According to data from the Central Bank of Egypt, net foreign investment inflows to Egypt during the past fiscal year 2023/2024 amounted to about $46.1 billion, including $14.4 billion in revenues from the tourism sector, compared to $13.6 billion in 2022/2023, in addition to $6.6 billion in Suez Canal revenues, compared to $8.8 billion, and $21.9 billion in remittances from Egyptians abroad.
