Keshav Murugesh: Angel Investor Leading India’s Largest BPO

Keshav Murugesh is an Indian businessman serving as the CEO and Board Member of WNS Holdings, a multinational business process outsourcing (BPO) company.

Born in Chennai, India, on August 17, 1963, Murugesh is also the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the India Business Forum in the UK. He previously served as the President of NASSCOM from 2019 to 2020.

Murugesh holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Andhra University and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Keshav began his career in 1989 with the internal audit department of ITC Limited, rising to become Vice President of Finance. He then joined Syntel Inc. as its CFO in 2002, becoming President and COO in 2004 and CEO in early 2009.

In February 2010, he joined WNS HOLDINGS as its CEO. The company now employs over 59,000 people, generates annual revenue exceeding $1.2 billion, and has a strong presence in 16 countries.

He is also a prominent angel investor in the Delhi-NCR startup ecosystem and is a member of the board of trustees of the WNS Cares Foundation (WCF), which focuses on education and empowering underprivileged children globally.

Murugesh is a member of the Wall Street Journal CEO Council and an active member of the G100 group. He has spoken at numerous international gatherings, including the Harvard India Conference (2018 and 2023) and the Fortune Global Sustainability Forum in 2022.
