Stephen King is the founder and CEO of GrowthForth, the first online accounting company, and one of the world’s leading industry leaders.
Stephen has over three decades of experience in accounting systems design, technology development, and management services. Prior to opening GrowthForce, he was President of Insperity’s Financial Management Services division for two years, which was created through the acquisition of Virtual Growth Incorporated, which Stephen founded in 1995 in New York City.
Prior to its acquisition by Insperity, Virtual Growth was the nation’s largest outsourced accounting service for small businesses.
Prior to Virtual Growth, Stephen spent seven years working at Amnesty International USA, including four years as Deputy Executive Director of Finance and Administration, and then honed his fundraising skills as Director of Development, raising over $20 million annually.
Stephen’s years at Amnesty International have reinforced his lifelong commitment to supporting charitable causes and serving non-profit organizations and helping them manage their finances, making civil society entities GrowthForce’s largest client segment.
Steve was awarded the Texas CPA Houston State Award in 2008 and 2009.
