Jose Pacheco Guardiola, born in Seville in 1961, was predicted to be a successful professional player due to his great ambition and academic brilliance, which he completed by graduating in Economics and Business from the University of Seville.
Guardiola began his career at Banco Setelim, part of the BNP Paribas Group, and then moved to the Santander Group from 1994 to 2002, where he held various general management positions until he became General Manager of Santander.
Santander is a Spanish banking group, comprising a network of financial institutions with a presence around the world, mostly in Europe and Latin America. The group has 191,350 employees, 100 million customers, 14,709 branches and 3.3 million shareholders worldwide.
Guardiola later decided to establish the Konectanet Group, of which he currently holds the position of CEO and largest shareholder.
Konectanet is a Spanish multinational company specializing in business process outsourcing, present in dozens of countries, employing 60,000 people and generating annual sales of 770 million euros.
Guardiola is also part of the advisory board of several financial and economic organisations including AON, Endesa in Andalusia and Extremadura, as well as the executive committee of CEIM.
He is also an investor and shareholder in Internacional Olivarera, an initiative in the “agribusiness” sector of the food sector.
He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of ABC Sevilla, as well as the International Advisory Board for Business Policy of the San Telmo International Institute.
He is also part of the CEA Advisory Board, a member of the Executive Committee of the Seville Chamber of Commerce, a director of Acciona and a member of its Sustainability Committee.
Throughout his career he has received numerous awards, such as the Gold Medal of the City of Seville and the Gold Medal for Commercial Merit from the Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce.
He also won the Canf de Oro Award for promoting employment opportunities for people with disabilities and collaboration in the programs of the Andalusian trade union movement and the Social Council of the University of Seville and CES Award for Excellence in the Business Profession.
