The Inspiring “Krasovsky”: From Junior Programmer to Leading Sigma Software Group

Valery Krasovsky is the CEO and co-founder of Sigma Software Group, as well as a general partner at Sigma Software Labs and SID Venture Partners.
Valery began his career as a junior C++ developer before advancing to become a team lead and later a project manager.
With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, he co-founded Sigma Software in 2002 and has led the company since its inception—first as COO and later as CEO.
Under his leadership, Sigma Software transformed from a startup with a small client base in Europe into a global software provider with over 2,000 employees, serving major clients like Volvo, AT&T, SAS, Fortum, Formpipe, and Scania.
Beyond his role in growing the company, Krasovsky has played a pivotal role in advancing Ukraine’s IT sector. He has collaborated with the Ukrainian IT Association, the European Business Association, and the IT Committee to drive industry growth.
In 2011, he led a working group under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, focusing on modernizing tech education and bridging the gap between business and academia.
Committed to education development, he launched Sigma Software University, an educational platform aimed at empowering Ukraine’s IT community by sharing expertise and knowledge—from beginners to experts.
In 2021, Valery joined forces with his partners at Sigma Software, Ideasoft, and Datrics to establish SID Venture Partners, Ukraine’s first unique venture capital firm, dedicated to supporting early-stage Ukrainian startups.
