From Restructuring to Global Expansion: How Thierry Delaporte Leads the Growth Race in the Outsourcing Sector

Thierry Delaporte has served as the CEO of Sodexo Group since November 2025, following his successful tenure leading the Indian IT giant, Wipro, between 2020 and 2024.

Delaporte is widely recognized for his extensive expertise in organizational transformation and global business management.

Delaporte began his professional career at Arthur Andersen before joining Capgemini in 1995, where he held various financial and managerial positions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

He studied Economics and Finance at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and holds postgraduate degrees in Law and Management.

In 2018, he became the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deputy CEO of Capgemini Group, paving the way for his expertise in large-scale institutional transformation.

Delaporte took the helm at Wipro in July 2020, leading a comprehensive restructuring process that included simplifying the organizational structure and accelerating growth in international markets.

During his tenure, the company’s revenue surged by 35% and profits increased by 25% compared to the previous four years.

He resigned in April 2024 after four years of leadership, during which he was the highest-paid CEO among Indian IT firms, with a salary reaching $20 million in the 2023–2024 fiscal year.

In October 2025, Sodexo announced his appointment as Group CEO, as part of a structural separation between the Chairmanship of the Board and Executive Management.

Through his appointment, the company aims to accelerate growth and enhance operational efficiency. In February 2026, he introduced a new global executive team reflecting a more agile and centralized approach to decision-making.

Beyond his professional career, Delaporte founded Life Project 4 Youth, a foundation dedicated to the professional and social integration of marginalized young people.
