In Pictures: Global Outsourcing Companies in the Embrace of Cairo

Cairo last week hosted the Global Offshoring Summit (GOS) events, the first of their kind in Egypt.
The summit was held under the patronage and presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Dr. Amr Talaat (Minister of Communications and Information Technology), and Eng. Ahmed Elzaher (CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, ITIDA).
The summit is part of the state’s efforts to affirm Egypt’s position as a regional and global hub for the outsourcing and cross-border services industry, in light of the growing global demand for IT and technical support services, and Egypt’s increasing capabilities in this field.
The summit, held over two days (November 9th and 10th), witnessed wide participation from senior officials and representatives of global outsourcing companies, alongside an elite group of technology leaders and representatives of international institutions.
On the sidelines of the summit, 50 new projects were signed between the Egyptian government and major companies operating in the fields of information technology and call center services, which boosts the flow of foreign direct investments into the Egyptian market.
