Experts and specialists confirmed that the new increases in electricity prices will have a relative impact on the outsourcing sector in Egypt, and the impact rates will range between 12-25%.

Ahmed Bahgat, CEO of VXI, an outsourcing services company in the Middle East and North Africa, said that increasing internet prices on outsourcing companies will not have a significant impact because we pay for our services in dollars and the currency difference will resolve the issue and cover these increases.

However, increasing electricity prices is a challenge that we will face, indicating that increasing electricity prices will increase operating costs by a rate ranging from 15-25%.

For her part, Amani Rabie, Chief Development Officer at Isone Experience, said that the new increases in electricity prices could affect the outsourcing sector in Egypt, which is a vital part of the country’s economy, especially since it plays a pivotal role in providing job opportunities for thousands of Egyptians and attracting foreign investments.

Rabie expected that these increases would lead to increased operating costs for outsourcing companies operating in the Egyptian market, which may require taking measures to maintain profitability and provide high-quality services to clients.

She believed that these effects would be relatively minor, for several reasons, the most important of which is that the outsourcing sector in Egypt is characterized by low operational costs in general.

She pointed out that effective cooperation between the Egyptian government and outsourcing companies can contribute to alleviating the impact of these increases by taking measures to reduce the financial burdens resulting from these changes in electricity prices, which contributes to maintaining the sustainability and prosperity of the outsourcing sector in Egypt.

The head of one of the Egyptian call center companies said that it is currently studying the impact of increasing electricity strips on operating costs, and an initial concept is scheduled to be reached within a week.
