As part of the “Digital Egypt” strategy adopted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to promote innovation and digital entrepreneurship, the first edition of the “Digitopia” competition continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is considered the largest national competition to discover and nurture Egyptian talent in the fields of technology, software, cybersecurity, and digital arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its launch, the competition has successfully attracted over 25,000 innovators from various governorates across Egypt, who formed 6,500 teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They competed to present innovative digital ideas and solutions that address societal challenges and contribute to the development of Egyptian society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

72 teams, comprising more than 300 contestants, have qualified for the final stage, scheduled for mid-November 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will compete for the top three places in each of the competition’s three tracks: Software and Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Games and Digital Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total value of the prizes exceeds EGP 10 million, including a Grand Prize of EGP 1 million, in support of young Egyptian talents and to encourage the sustainability of innovation and creativity in the field of information technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, affirmed that the goal of launching “Digitopia” is to provide a national platform for creative youth of all ages and regions to develop their creative and technical capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the competition represents an important step toward building an integrated digital society based on knowledge and innovation, consistent with the objectives of “Digital Egypt.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition is organized under the supervision of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), the Information Technology Institute (ITI), and Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), in cooperation with international and local partners, most notably: the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Huawei Technologies Egypt, Cisco Egypt, Telecom Egypt, Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt, e& Egypt, ICT Valley, WE Innovate Program, EYouth Foundation, and YAT Learning & Training Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 90 experts in the fields of technology and innovation are participating in judging the competition to evaluate the solutions presented by the participating teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition has seen diverse participation from various age groups, ranging from school students to entrepreneurs, reflecting the broad base of participation and the richness of the Egyptian creative scene in the field of digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Digitopia” comes within the framework of the MCIT’s efforts to prepare a supportive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, empowering young competencies to contribute to the digital transformation process and enhancing Egypt’s position as a regional hub for technological creativity in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n
