With local and international companies increasingly keen on expanding their operations within the Egyptian market, hiring decisions no longer solely depend on attendance or academic degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Instead, the ability to demonstrate competence and possess the required skills has become the true differentiator between acceptance and rejection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This raises a crucial question: How can an applicant transform from a mere visitor at a job fair into an actual employee within an international or even local outsourcing center?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The answer begins with understanding the market’s nature, companies’ requirements, and acquiring the tools that enable every young person to excel amidst growing competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ahmed Abu El Dahab, CEO of BDO Esnad Outsourcing Services, emphasized that companies operating in the outsourcing sector prioritize efficiency when participating in job fairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He noted that each company seeks human resources that align with its strategy and operational needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abu El Dahab explained that some companies focus on applicants with specific language proficiency levels, while others aim to recruit specialists in technical and engineering aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He pointed out that recruitment standards are not uniform but vary according to the nature of the jobs and the required skills, reflecting the market’s diversity and flexibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that graduates aspiring to enter the sector’s job market must continuously develop their skills, most importantly mastering foreign languages, familiarizing themselves with artificial intelligence technologies, and acquiring modern digital skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stressed that companies prefer to hire qualified individuals capable of keeping pace with rapid changes in technology and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the reasons for rejecting some job applicants, he indicated that many young people believe they are qualified but are surprised by rejection due to weak skills or their incompatibility with job requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He urged graduates to follow market developments and work to bridge the skills gap through training and qualification to secure real employment opportunities within outsourcing and IT services companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yasser Omran, Director of Alorica Egypt, stated that call center companies, when participating in job fairs, look for graduates with excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a cooperative spirit for customer service roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Omran identified the most crucial skills and qualities required for customer service graduates to join companies, including effective communication skills, which involve the ability to speak and write clearly and fluently (in both Arabic and English if necessary), in addition to the necessity of good listening to understand customer needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained that customer service applicants must also possess emotional intelligence through their ability to understand customer emotions and respond politely and respectfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They should also demonstrate patience in dealing with complaints or angry customers and the ability to problem-solve by quickly finding appropriate solutions without escalating the issue to management, as well as applying the principle of flexibility in dealing with unexpected situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Omran stressed the importance for those seeking a customer service position to have basic technical knowledge, which includes proficiency in using customer service software (such as CRM, ticketing systems, etc.), and being aware of the company’s products and services they wish to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, they need the ability to collaborate with the team and management and adhere to work schedules and company policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He continued, saying: “To increase their chances of acceptance, applicants for customer service positions should submit a clear resume that includes an explanation of job-related skills, along with the importance of showcasing courses or certificates in customer service or communication skills, and previous training or work experience from other companies, even if limited to internships, part-time work, or volunteering.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stated that call center applicants should also be prepared for interviews and demonstrate self-confidence without arrogance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They should also have a neat and appropriate appearance for the work environment, coupled with a smile and politeness in conversing with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He believes that common reasons for rejection in customer service are weak communication skills, such as speaking unclearly or impolitely, or lacking the ability to express ideas smoothly, in addition to a lack of empathy, always appearing quickly annoyed by customer complaints, and limited knowledge of the job or the company they wish to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also noted that spelling errors in the applicant’s resume and a lack of focus on the required skills and relevant previous experience reduce their chances of success in customer service employee job tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
