UK-based outsourcing company Skybound CX is planning to inject between $500,000 and $1 million in investments during its first year of operation in the Egyptian market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khalid Yassin, Founder and CEO of Skybound, explained that the company is the outsourcing arm of Esnad Global Group, which operates across six other sectors, including energy, food, and agriculture, with operations in the UAE, UK, Sudan, and Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an interview with Ta3heed newsletter, Yassin said the company plans to expand into Alexandria and launch Spanish and German language outsourcing services by Q3 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Full Interview:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When was Skybound CX established?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m a British-Sudanese national. I was born in London, later moved to Khartoum, and then returned to the UK where I completed my university education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My career began with launching a recruitment company in the UK, focusing on attracting and hiring talent across the UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Over time, I decided to expand into outsourcing services, and we launched our operations in Egypt less than a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Skybound opened its first site on Nasr Road, Nasr City, about a month ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It currently supports 150 seats, with plans to expand to 300 seats in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a0What services does Skybound offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We offer three core services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) \u2013 managing entire functions like customer support or telesales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Talent Outsourcing \u2013 where we hire full-time staff in Egypt to work remotely for foreign companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For example, we\u2019ve hired software engineers and designers for U.S. companies under fully legal contracts, providing them with state-of-the-art office spaces, equipped with modern IT infrastructure, rest areas, and gyms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Seat Hosting \u2013 we host plug-and-play workstations for other companies, helping them reduce their operational costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This model is becoming increasingly popular, especially as major Indian outsourcing firms are setting up in Cairo to serve clients in Saudi Arabia and the UAE who require bilingual Arabic-English agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This seat hosting model allows companies to rent a small number of seats instead of investing $300,000 to $400,000 to build a new site from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How do you price call center seat rentals?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n here are three types of seats:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Fully Loaded Seats \u2013 Skybound provides everything: IT, internet, power, and infrastructure based on specific standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Semi-Loaded Seats \u2013 The client gets the seat and internet; they handle the rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Empty Seats \u2013 Only the physical seat is provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why did you choose Egypt as your MENA operations hub?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When I started my recruitment company in the UK, my focus was solely on the UK and Ireland. However, I noticed the average salary was \u00a32,000\/month, with relatively modest performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At that time, I had little knowledge of Egypt\u2019s position in the global outsourcing market. In 2022, I visited Cairo and hired 12 employees for my UK business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The results were outstanding \u2014 Egypt has a talented, multilingual, and eager workforce ready to engage with international clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thanks to this, we expanded services to the U.S., in addition to the UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How many clients does Skybound currently serve?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We have 6\u20137 active contracts across various sectors, including architecture and engineering. We currently support clients in English and Arabic, and plan to add Spanish and German by Q3 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Spanish is widely spoken in the U.S., while Germany is one of the largest European markets for architecture and software development, and there\u2019s a significant shortage of German-speaking talent globally, making Berlin-based contracts particularly valuable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We also have Sudanese banks and telecom firms exploring Egypt for customer service operations. One of them, a major African telecom provider, is seeking alternatives after its main customer care center was disrupted by the recent war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Are there expansion plans into other governorates?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes, we\u2019re planning to expand into Alexandria.
