The International Labour Union praised the opening of community dialogue on the new draft labor law, coinciding with its discussion within the Manpower Committee of the House of Representatives after its referral by the government, stressing that the new draft law is an important step towards developing the labor system in Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohamed El Derwy, a member of the Board of Directors of the International Employment Federation, stressed the need for the new law to take into account achieving a balance between the parties to the tripartite relationship: workers, employers, and the government, and the law must be in line with international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He explained that the law must adopt innovative policies to regulate new professions that have emerged in the market as a result of technological developments and economic changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stressed that this trend will support accelerating the pace of service exports and contribute to strengthening the national economy and increasing the flow of hard currency into the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He pointed out the necessity for the new project to achieve these goals, which are improving working conditions, enhancing the protection of workers’ rights, encouraging investment, and providing a flexible legal environment that is compatible with economic and technological changes and addressing the loopholes that may exist in previous laws.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
