“Qualification for Employment” Program… Youth Gateway to the Outsourcing Industry

The total number of trainees from the “Qualification for Employment” program, launched by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in 2015, has reached approximately 15,200 trainees to date, with 12,200 of them employed.

ITIDA’s goal for the program is to qualify job seekers to join digital export companies and create new job opportunities.

The program seeks to meet the needs of companies operating in the outsourcing services sector for technical and language skills, up to a maximum of two levels.

According to ITIDA, there are a set of requirements that must be met by companies applying to join the program.

These include being registered in the Agency’s database and having a genuine request to create qualified staff in the field of outsourcing, in addition to their capacity to train human resources both inside and outside the company.

The entities participating in the program are divided into four categories: Electronics Manufacturing, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Services, Information Technology (IT) Services, and Training Service Providers.

“Qualification for Employment” represents a new model of programs adopted by the Agency aimed at enhancing the competitive capabilities of Egyptian youth and providing companies’ requirements for professional and trained skills in the latest technologies across various IT fields, who are proficient in different languages.

This is done to meet the needs of the local and global labor market.

In a related context, ITIDA continues its efforts to prepare professionally proficient cadres capable of competing in global outsourcing markets through the Up4Jobs program, which the Agency implements in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

This program aims to qualify youth to work in IT services companies and call centers targeting the German market, by providing integrated training that combines mastering the German language up to the C1 level, delivered by Komet Institut, and developing personal and professional skills to empower young people and enhance their global competitiveness.
